As we all become accustomed to life post lockdown, we have given a great deal of consideration to our guest’s safety and comfort.  We have updated our cleaning routine and policies in line with World Health Organisation and European Centre for Disease Prevention guidelines.  As always, we wish to ensured guest accommodation is “sparklingly clean”, an expression used by many of our guests in their reviews.

The self-contained barns were built in 2016 so safety and accessibility are recent and of a high-quality standard consistently achieving 5* review.  With our open rural location, we’re confident that guests will continue to enjoy well-earned breaks with friends or family.

Mill View Barns offer a flexible and spacious alternative to the traditional B&B or typical self-catering accommodation.  Each sleep up to four people and tasty local breakfast foods can be provided for you to enjoy at your leisure.

The barns have been thoughtfully designed and recently built.  Clad in green oak they sit well in their rural landscape providing cyclists, ramblers and all countryside lovers the opportunity to enjoy a touch of luxury in a beautiful Yorkshire location.  Bespoke activity breaks can also be arranged see the activity page.

Through the village of Bishop Monkton you will find our two barns nestled in peaceful surroundings in harmony with nature. In the heart of the barns you will be greeted by our stunning glazed gable end views with a contemporary open plan sitting, dining and simple kitchen area.  Each barn has two bedrooms that may be made up as two super king or twin depending on your request.

From the moment you arrive your barn is yours for the duration of your stay.  So, if you are looking for some “me or us time” simply come and relax in this tranquil setting.

We’d love to welcome you to this special place.

We wanted to let the world know what a fabulous time we had at the Mill View Barns.  The accommodations were the best we encountered in our entire trip in UK.  We very much enjoyed the location and its accessibility to the rest of Yorkshire.  We also appreciated your personal attention to us and our interest in exploring our ancestry and its relationship to Bishop Monkton, Knaresborough and Ripon.

Thanks for everything!!

We had a fantastic Way of the Roses tour your accommodation was lovely, clean and welcoming. Easy to find – and no detours from the route…we couldn’t believe our luck in securing such a fantastic stay over. We’ll definitely be recommending it to our cycling club (Lakes Road Club) and cycling buddies.
